Summary
Both conventional petrol and PHEV models use transversely mounted four-cylinder engines. The petrol version employs a 1.6-litre turbocharged unit with 145bhp going to the front wheels via a standard seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The new Jaecoo 7 offers 2 trim levels-Deluxe (FWD) and the Luxury (AWD). The Deluxe 1.6T FWD petrol provides WLTP Combined figures of 37.7 mpg (169 g/km CO₂ compared to the Luxury 1.6T AWD giving WLTP Combined figures of 35.3 mpg (182 g/km CO₂).
